Melanie Cherniwchan is a talented musician and an enthusiastic music educator who enjoys a wide variety of music. Opera, early music, chamber choir, music theatre and pop are a few of the music styles that have been explored by this versatile soprano.
Melanie’s early training began in Athabasca where she was classically trained in both voice and piano. She has since received Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees in voice from the University of Alberta. Melanie started performing and competing at the age of 6 and over the years has had the privilege of experiencing roles in a number of operas, oratorios and musicals.
A committed music educator, Melanie has a private music studio in NW Calgary, Alberta. Years of study and experience have inspired an integrated and creative approach that enables all to explore a practical technique while developing an understanding of themselves.
