I am really attracted to soft monochromatic scenes that employ subtlety in warmth and value range. Bold and powerful colours are fun to utilize but can also become the death of a painting if they overpower the emotion behind the scene. This painting is about the quiet tranquility of a snow covered day in a setting void of unpleasant sound and commotion.
